Membership
policies
- Members
age 14 and older are allowed to use the Wellness Center. 14
& 15 year olds may use the equipment after successfully
completing a Teen orientation.

Members age 18 and older may use the Women’s or Men’s
locker rooms.
- Members
under age 18 or families with small children should use the
Girls or Boys locker rooms

The YMCA is not responsible for lost or stolen items. We strongly
recommend use of a personal lock for valuables left in the locker
room.
- Youth
ages 10 and older may use the YMCA without an adult.

All youth must pass a deep water test by a YMCA lifeguard prior
to using the deep end of the pool.
- Children
ages 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult, age 16 or
older, while in the YMCA, unless enrolled in a program.

Youth ages 10 and older may use the YMCA gymnasium for open
gym basketball during designated times.

Children ages 6 months through 10 years may use the Child Watch
(babysitting) program while a parent is in the YMCA facility.
A maximum of 2 hours per day is allowed.

Appropriate workout attire is required in all exercise areas.

Horseplay, profanity or disrespect for other members or staff
will not be tolerated.
- Staff has the right and the responsibility to ask people who
are not following the rules to leave the facility.

Only Personal Trainers employed by the Greater Pittston YMCA
are allowed to personal train or instruct members.

Members are required to wear closed-toed athletic footwear at
all times in the gymnasium or Wellness Center.

AWAY
Program
The
AWAY program (Always Welcome At a YMCA) is available to all
Full Privilege Members. If you're traveling, you can use your
membership at over 2,000 YMCA's across the country. Check at
the front desk for participating YMCA's. YMCA’s must be
outside of a 50 mile radius to your home YMCA to qualify. Going
on vacation? To look for a YMCA close to where you are staying
contact the YMCA of the USA at 1-800-872-9622 or search at ymca.net.
